The role of Municipal Clerk began when Lisbon incorporation in 1799. Mrs. Lycette is the 26th Clerk to serve Lisbon. The Board of Selectmen appointed her in 1986. She graduated from the Municipal Clerk's Institute in 1989, achieved her Certified Municipal Clerks designation in 1991, and was awarded her Lifetime Certified Municipal Clerk certification in 1999.
It has been our goal to help make the democratic process work smoothly in hopes that a well-informed citizenry can participate in the day to day operations of their local government. The Municipal Clerk provides the communication link between the citizens, the local government legislative body, the administrative departments, and agencies of government at other levels.
The Municipal Clerk serves as the information center by making available the records of local government (ordinances, meeting minutes, legal documents, etc.), explaining procedures, distributing published materials and reports, making presentations before school groups, and answering questions pertaining to municipal government activities.
