Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is an ADHOC committee of the Town of Lisbon.  It has five residents appointed by the Town Council.  There is one School Committee liaison and one Council liaison, with no voting privileges.  The Finance Director and School Business Manager shall attend all meetings. Members are appointed annually in June (terms end June 30).  Members serve three year terms.  Committee members select their own Chair and Vice-Chair.   They meet at least once per month.  A quorum is considered a majority of the five members appointed by the Council.  Their duties are outline in the Lisbon Code Book in Section 2-507 - Meetings.  The Finance Director provides the administrative funtctions for the Finance Committee, including preparing agendas and minutes, handling correspondence, and maintaining all official records. The Finance Director files adopted minutes in the Town Clerk's Office.
