Dog Licenses
Title 7 Section 3922 (1) under "Issuance of license", says all dogs 6 months or more need to be licensed on or before January 1st, and then under 3922(2) it says the owner or keeper, within 10 days, shall obtain a license if between January 1 and October 15.
Title 7 Section 3923-A(4) says dogs licensed after January 31st each year shall pay to the municipal clerk a late fee of $25.00.

In order to obtain a license for your dog, you need to show us a Maine Rabies Certificate from your veterinarian indicating your dog has a valid rabies shot.
You must also show proof of spay/neutering - either a certificate number or a letter from a vet stating that the animal was examined and found to be altered.
$6.00 per year Spayed/Neutered and $11.00 per year Not Spayed /Neutered. To renew online will cost an additional $1 more.
Note: Although cats do not require a license, they must be vaccinated against rabies.
